Well, it was fairly grueling but certainly educational to do a first critical read-through of my Nanonovel while taking extensive notes. I managed it in two days, and I’m looking forward to fixing the messy bits.

Just kidding. But today I completed my 50 000 words for Nanowrimo this year, and a few hundred words after that I finished the actual story, very rough first draft.

The words keep piling up and my big climactic ending is about to unfold. The third disaster in my three-disaster structure will happen probably the next time I sit down to write. It will change everything and propel my unsuspecting characters into earth-shaking decisions and a dramatic ending that may or may not be happy. The jury’s still out on that.
